ldh's review

This is a gorgeous film, with great art direction and cinematography, but poor story. At times, i felt like i was watching multiple films interlaced with one another. the writing is not well conceived and the editing adds to the confusion. But let's be honest, if you are looking to watch this movie, it's for its star Tony Jaa, and the action he'll deliver on screen. and here, nothing disappoints.

For fans of the genre, it's definitely a movie to watch, although, the poor execution across the film makes it in my eyes less interesting than Chocolate (2008) which was close to perfection in the action/martial arts genre. Here, you get fantastic action and a couple of memorable set pieces where Tony shows all his talents and energy.  But that's about it.

One of those scenes was mesmerizing as Tony and several adversaries are fighting around a live elephant. The elephant becomes an integral actor in the fight scene and i was simply amazed by what i was looking at.... No special effects or even wires, all incredible real choreography and Animal training. That scene alone is worth the price of admission for this film is you like that genre.
