A great documentary with an in depth look at the rise and fall of Tower Records, the dominant wrecka stow in the US and Japan in the 70's, 80's and 90's, mirroring the rise and fall of the music industry overall. This is a great show of characters, their decisions, their regrets, and an infectious account of the wild ride they had. It touched a particular note for me when the story covered the opening of the store in New York. As an NYU student between 89 and 92, i spent way too much time and money in that store, getting CDs that were half the price of what they were in France. Music suddenly was so cheap and affordable from my perspective that i lost my mind a bit :) I think 80% of my disposable income went into music at that time.
