So high-concept that i fell sleep. Sorry. It's a story i should have felt so engaged with given that i was born and raised in Paris, that the Louvre is one of my favorite places on earth, that i enjoy Art history very much, and love WWII stories. You'd think that this would simply be the perfect documentary for me. But no. For stylistic reasons i am sure, the film tries various avant-garde techniques, but the result is just overly confusing by adopting a mixed timeline, a combination of historical footage and re-enactments (which often kind of fall flat). It's a pity.
