ldh's review ![]() One of my favorite Brian De Palma film. Fantastic score, art direction and story, only hampered by the director's penchant for going overboard a bit from time to time. Even so, those moments (like the extended kissing scene between Craig Wasson andDeborah Shelton or the long Mall scene) remain favorites of mine in spite of the cheese. A great cast makes it all the more enjoyable. Finally, although the script borrows heavily from Vertigo and Rear Window, it manages to remain unexpected and surprising in how it plays with similar themes and character traits, yet finds an expression in a completely different environment. This could be treated technically as a a remake, or definitely a reinvention.
