2005.10.27 - BoxOffice News

What a horrible weekend. $80M. Not good at all. Doom finished first, but with just $15.5M, that's not saying much. The movie performed below expectations, and given the subject matter and the definite fanboy effect, the movie won't go much further. Expect maybe a total of $30M.

Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story was the feel good family movie of the fall, but with $9.2M, i guess not many cared. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, another family friendly movie, did very respectably however for its third weekend. With 8.6M, it now sits just shy of $44M.

The Fog is falling appart and just barely passed the $20M mark. North Country, an Oscar hopeful, barely made a mark with $6.3M.
